Algerian Font is a decorative serif digital typeface that is designed in the early 20th century under the name of British foundry Stephenson, Blake, and Co.
All rights to this font design are held by Linotype, while the name ‘Algerian’ is a trademark of International Typeface Corporation.
At the time of release, this typeface contained only uppercase letters, but after a 2005 update by Michael Hageman from Font Mesa, he added lowercase letters to this typeface.
As of 2017, the font family has grown to 144 styles with the addition of many weights, including bold, outline, light, and other italic weights.
