Natanael Gama is a Portuguese citizen and an amazing font designer. He first took credit for designing it in 2016 for his company Ndiscovered.

“It is inspired by first-century Roman inscriptions and based on classical proportions, according to the author of this font family.

And, it is not simple revivalism. While it describes the entire ancient history of the Latin alphabet it also incorporates a contemporary feel.
